Information

In recent times, the growth rate of energy consumption has gradually picked up, and the daily consumption of coal, electricity, oil and gas has gradually returned to the level of the same period last year.

On May 18, the National Energy Administration held an online press conference for the second quarter. The relevant person in charge of the National Energy Administration stated that since late March, the decline in energy consumption has significantly narrowed, and the supply of coal, electricity, oil and gas has been adequately and effectively guaranteed to help prevent and control the epidemic. The accelerated restoration of economic and social order provides strong support.

Since March, the electricity consumption of the whole society has gradually picked up. On May 11, the national daily electricity consumption was 19.2 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 4.8%; in terms of natural gas consumption, in late March, the national average daily consumption of natural gas was about 770 million cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 4.5%; in terms of refined oil consumption, The average daily consumption in March was about 760,000 tons, which has reached about 80% of the same period last year; in terms of coal consumption, the average daily consumption in March was about 9.8 million tons, about 95% of the same period last year.

At the same time, energy supply is sufficient. By the end of March, energy production enterprises had basically resumed work. In addition, the power supply is safe and stable. In the first quarter, the reliability of power supply for users in 50 major cities across the country continued to maintain a high level, with an average power supply reliability rate of 99.973%.

In mid-March, the daily coal output exceeded 10 million tons, which has returned to the level of the same period last year, an increase of about 6 million tons over the Spring Festival period. The national unified regulation of coal for power plants is maintained for more than 25 days, the stocks of power supply and heating companies and ports are at a reasonable level, and the price of power coal is within a green and reasonable range. Oil and gas production continued to grow. Crude oil output in the first quarter was 48.57 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%; natural gas output was 48.3 billion cubic meters, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%.

The person in charge also revealed that taking into account the low-level operation of power load affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic and the staged difficulty in new energy consumption, the limited power generation of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in the first quarter of this year will not be included in the clean energy consumption statistical assessment. At present, the National Energy Administration is organizing grid companies to calculate and demonstrate based on this, and recently released the new consumption capacity of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in 2020, actively releasing new energy consumption space, clarifying industry expectations, and promoting industry expansion and steady growth. .
